When Justin contacted me about his proposal photography idea, I was elated! On a prior trip to the Japanese Tea Garden, a friend had snapped a photo on the half moon bridge of the two of them. It became an inside joke because it looked like he was proposing. So naturally, he chose this spot at the Japanese Tea Garden for his surprise proposal!
I arrived quite early so as to scout the location and get into place. Posing as just another camera-carrying tourist, all I could do was sit and wait. When thy both arrived, Justin seemed a bit nervous, and almost immediately dropped to one knee. Luckily I was preparedĀ and captured the photographs you see here.
After the shoot, we did a quick mini session around the garden. It’s such a beautiful space and makes photo sessions a breeze. I can’t wait to go back!
